Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
Projectile ("the app," "we," "us") is a practice futures day-trading simulator. It uses historical market data to let you practice trading strategies — no real money is ever deposited, traded, or at risk. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we (through our backend provider, Supabase, and where applicable Google Sign-In) receive your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. We create a profiles record containing a username derived from your email and linked to your account.
Content you post. The Community tab lets you share practice results with other users. Anything you post — a title, description text, chart screenshots, and evaluation-run summaries (things like pass/fail outcome, profit/loss by day, and trade statistics) — is stored on our servers and is publicly readable by anyone using the app, including your chosen username. Don't include anything in a post you don't want publicly visible.
Local practice data. Your trade history, evaluation results, level/XP progress, and daily trade allowance are stored only on your device (not on our servers) so the app works the same whether or not you're online. This data is not visible to us and is removed if you uninstall the app.
Advertising and purchases (where enabled). If you're on the free tier and choose to watch a rewarded ad to refill your practice trades, the ad is served by a third-party ad network, which may collect device and usage identifiers to select and measure ads, subject to your device's ad-tracking permission (you'll be asked to allow or deny this). If you purchase Gold tier, that purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google's payment systems — we never see your payment details, only confirmation that a purchase was made.
How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and let you sign back in.
- To display your Community posts to other users and let you manage (delete) them.
- To operate the free-tier trade allowance and Gold-tier upgrade.
- To diagnose bugs and keep the app running reliably.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your Community content or account data to build advertising profiles.
Third parties we use
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage (including Community images).
- Google Sign-In — an optional way to create an account without a password.
- An ad network (once enabled) — serves rewarded ads to free-tier users who choose to watch one.
- Apple / Google in-app purchases (once enabled) — process Gold-tier payments; we never handle your card details directly.
Your choices and rights
- You can delete individual Community posts you've authored at any time from within the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. We'll confirm once it's done.
- If ads are enabled on your device, you can decline ad-tracking permission when prompted; you'll still be able to watch rewarded ads, just without personalized targeting.
Children's privacy
Projectile is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Data security
We rely on Supabase's infrastructure, which encrypts data in transit and at rest, and restrict access to your account data using row-level security rules. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
